In mid-January, when old man winter has a hold of North America, Mark heads West to once again chase his most prized and coveted species, Wild Steelhead. The coastal rivers of Northern California and Southern Oregon provide anglers with endless opportunities to connect with these amazing fish in some of the most beautiful and remote areas left in the country.

 

Often referred to as the fish of a thousand cast or the ghost of the river, Steelhead often conjures up thoughts of frustration and defeat. While there are certainly no guarantees in Steelhead, Mark has saved his guests years of frustration and heartache by providing the tools for success. Knowing where and when these fish show up along with the right gear and flies is crucial in making the most of your time on the water.
